This walk is in the past.
This walk starts in the pretty village of Uley and passes through fields and woodland before gently climbing up to the South Cotswolds escarpment. We then walk through the village of Nympsfield and reach the Coaley Peak viewpoint. If the weather's fine, there are fantastic views over the River Severn and into South Wales. On a clear day, Sugar Loaf mountain is visible. From the viewpoint, we continue through beech woods until we reach the Iron Age hill fort of Uley Bury before dropping back down to the village.
There is likely to be livestock in fields, including curious cows. Any dogs must be on leads.
Most of the ascent is gentle, but there are couple of steep sections although they are not long.
Bring packed lunch. Pub to finish.
