9.15pm 1 Boot: New Years Night Walk – Worcestershire Beacon – Malvern Hills (Joint Walk)

See in 2019 at the summit of Worcestershire Beacon, the highest point in the Malvern Hills. The walk up to the summit is on a well made track, we will hopefully see the fireworks in the surrounding area of Worcester and Malvern. We will then head back to the cars and back to Bristol. Bring: Warm clothes, hats, gloves- its very exposed up there Food and drink Torch Optionally bring mulled wine / sparklers We will sort out car sharing on the night, for anyone new, please refer to the 'Where we meet' part of the website - its the big public car park opposite St Mary Redcliffe church.

Bring packed lunch.

Thanks for visiting us! Brunel Walking Group is for young(ish) people in the Bristol and Bath area who love the countryside and like to get outside on a weekend.

What is Brunel Walking Group?

How do I join the walk?

There is no need to sign up to join a walk, just turn up at the meeting point where we will share lifts to the start of the walk.  You’re very welcome to try out 1 or 2 walks before you join, but we do insist that after that you join the Brunel Walking Group.  It’s OK if you don’t drive – we normally have enough drivers who are able to give lifts, but drivers often appreciate it when a voluntary contribution is made by passengers towards their costs.

How do I know what to bring? And am I fit enough?

We provide a full recommended kit list here.  Please do bring water, a rainproof jacket, walking trousers (or similar) and walking shoes/boots – avoid jeans and trainers.
