A bank-holiday wander through fields and woodland passing by Hinton Charterhouse, catching a glimpse of Midford castle (from a distance!) and passing the remnants of a former canal.
Looking back, I last led this walk with the group back in 2018.
There are thin bits, styles, gates, the odd path that gets a bit overgrown (with stinging nettles - bring your stinging-nettle-proof legs ;-) ), fields with livestock and a few hills along the way. Some sections can be a bit boggy and stay muddy for a while, although I'm hoping the forecast is right and the paths will be dry underfoot for the most part. It may even be sunny, so sun-cream could come in handy too!
Remember your hand sanitiser & masks if you're car sharing. Perhaps even do a lateral flow test beforehand for extra peace of mind - I'd certainly be more comfortable taking passengers who have :-)
We should make it back to Wellow in time so that those who might wish to visit the Fox and Badger pub can do so, but this is not guaranteed as it closes at 4pm.
Bring packed lunch.
