This walk is in the past.
We start from Winchcombe and use both the Winchcombe Way and Cotswold Way for a circular walk via Cleeve Hill, the highest point in the Cotswolds and Gloucestershire which will give good views across the flooded Severn Valley towards the Malvern Hills. We will also pass Belas Knapp Longbarrow dating from 3000BC. We will park in Winchcombe Back Lane Car park and if its full, park in Barnmeadow Road, very close by (no parking restrictions). There are toilets in the car park, though bring 20p, also bring some change for the car park (which I think is £1). Please bring good walking footwear as it will be muddy and wet in places after all the recent rain, plenty of warm layers (forecast is for it to be cold and sunny), hat, gloves, sunglasses, food and drink, sitmat or something to sit on for lunch / tea break. The walk includes 340m of ascent. We will sort out car sharing on the day at the meet point in Bristol.
Bring packed lunch. Pub to finish.
