This walk is in the past.
11.5 mile walk starting at The Angel Inn in Long Ashton at 10.00 then heading on footpaths past the impressive Barrow Court to Bourton Combe then returns via Barrow Gurney and Gatcombe (with a potential shop at the Greedy Goose for cake) to the start.
I will be heading straight to The Angel but if someone could arrange lifts from St Mary Redcliffe at 9.40 then that would be great.
You could also use public transport to get to the start of the walk if you so wish with buses stopping at the Angel. Other local buses probably stop at near Ashton Gate then it's just over a mile walk from there to The Angel.
Please bring a pack lunch, although there will be options for stopping for a quick drink at a cafe or pub on route or at the end depending on feedback from the group.
On street parking is available in Long Ashton but you will need to walk a little back to the pub.
One small section of the walk is a little overgrown so probably worth bringing long trousers or zip off ones.
Bring packed lunch. Pub to finish.
