This walk is in the past.
This Groundhog Day 2025, come join a repeat of the walk I lead last year.
Groundhog Day is an American movie starring Bill Murray, where he is trapped in the same day until he changes, and becomes the best version of himself. Let's repeat this walk, and see what changes have come from last year, the seasons have changed, I've changed, maybe you have too.
Groundhog day is also an American holiday where Punxsutawney Phil at Gobbler's knob traditionally comes out of his hole and forecasts winter. If he sees his shadow, we have 6 more weeks of winter, if not, we'll have an early Spring.
Starting in Front of Saint George's Library, this walk will take in parks, woods, and nature reserves of East Bristol. Featuring: St George's park. Avon view cemetery, Netham park, Saintt Annes's park, Nightingale valley, Saint Anne's Woods, Troopers hill, Conham river park, and Dundridge park.
The walk start location is easily accessible by foot, bicycle and bus. There's a car park in Chalks Road and on-street parking along surrounding roads.
Come join for change, a winter weather prediction, and/or just a good walk.
Bring packed lunch. Pub to finish.
