11.5 Mile (2451ft of Ascent) scenic route around the Wye Valley between Chepstow and Tintern taking in part of Offa's Dyke path.
Route takes us out past the Castle and along part of Offa's Dykes path, past the Devils Pulpit which has fine view across the valley and towards Tintern Abbey. We will probably stop for lunch near Tintern then return on the other side of the valley via Wyndcliff for more fine views.
Route will be a mixture of footpaths and tracks which could be muddy and rocky so wear suitable footwear. Bring clothing suitable for changeable weather, as well as enough food and water for the day.
Route has a couple of big climbs so probably not ideal for those with limited fitness. Regular walkers will be fine.
I will meet you in Chepstow so please arrange lifts with other members at the Water Tower.
Bring packed lunch. Pub to finish.
