Beginning in Wotton-under-Edge, we will enter the beautiful Cotswold countryside, heading towards Wortley, where we will walk past some beautiful cottages whilst walking along a section of the Cotswold Way. After this we shall stumble upon a beautiful French looking Mansion, with views to boot! Next there will be a steep climb into the woods and up to the remote hamlet of Tresham. Walking through farmland with views across the River Severn, we shall head back down into the woods and into Ozleworth Bottom, where we can take a sneaky peak of Ozleworth Park! With yet another steep climb into the woods, we shall walk to Newark Park, which is a Tudor National Trust House, where we may have the chance to sample a little treat!
After admiring the house (from outside), we shall head down Blackquarries Hill along the Cotswold Way, through the quaint hamlet of Coombe and back into Wotton-under Edge.
Please bring sensible clothing as this route is extremely muddy, despite any gorgeous weather!
I do not recommend this route for dogs as we pass a lot of farm animals.
Please make sure you bring plenty of food and drink to have during the walk.
Depending on the group size, I will see if we can go somewhere for food afterwards.
Prepare yourselves for a Pheasant Surprise!
