This walk is in the past.
We'll set out from the picturesque town of Tetbury in the Cotswolds and wander through small woodlands and across open fields, passing a castle, numerous country houses and a couple of Cotswold villages. Considering it's in the Cotswolds, this is a relatively flat route - only 240m or so of ascent, but it is a long one.
Expect:
- Fields with cows and horses
- Pheasants
- A book-swap opportunity in an old phone box
- Blackberry, plum and apple foraging opportunities
- Stiles and uneven ground
- Some mildly overgrown paths
- Some road-walking, although most are quiet ones
- Only 1 fallen tree to climb over this weekend!
Bring:
- Lunch, snacks and plenty to drink
- Something to sit on at lunchtime
- Suncream (we may be lucky with some sunshine!)
- Warm layers/waterproofs
Bring packed lunch. Pub to finish.
