This walk is in the past.
Starting in the market town of Wotton-under-Edge, we will follow the Cotswold Way through woodland, uphill to Nibley Knoll with great views of the Gloucestershire countryside and River Severn on a clear day. You can even climb the 120ish steps up the spiral staircase to the top of the Tyndale Monument! We will continue on to Stinchcombe Hill for another amazing viewpoint before returning on lower ground through fields and farmland.
Bring warm layers as it can get breezy high up, and shoes with a good grip for the muddy and steep sections. You may wish to bring sticks for the steep sections.
There is free parking by Wotton Civic Centre (near the Shell garage) off Gloucester Street on the B4060. Postcode: GL12 7DF. Please car share if possible.
Bring packed lunch. Pub to finish.
