09:00 1 Boot Bristol riverside stroll (Joint Walk) – No more spaces
Event Date: Sun 30 August 2020
Event Time: 09:00
This walk is in the past.
A leisurely stroll along the River Avon towards Sea Mills, then up towards Blaise Castle where there is plenty of open space to stop and have lunch.
Please bring gloves as you will be required to walk through gates
Unfortunately due to covid we have had to put a cap on the amount of people we can have on each walk, and that walk is now at capacity with several in reserve. Please keep checking the website to see if any more walks you would like to come on are run.
Hopefully we will see you on one of our walks in the future.
Date: Sun 30 Aug 2020 Meet:
09:00 at
Centre of Bristol
If sharing lifts passengers are expected to contribute towards petrol costs. Please bring coins or be prepared to make a bank transfer.
As a guide, 30p/mile shared by everyone in the car.
Unless stated on the walk page, there is no need to sign up to join a walk. You’re very welcome to try out 1 or 2 walks before you join, but we do insist that after that you join the Brunel Walking Group.
On many walks you can just turn up at the meeting point where we will share lifts to the start of the walk. It’s OK if you don’t drive – we normally have enough drivers who are able to give lifts. Some walks you will need to make your way to walk start or you can post on our facebook group to ask if you can share a lift there.

How do I know what to bring? And am I fit enough?
We provide a full recommended kit list here. Please do bring water, a rainproof jacket, walking trousers (or similar) and walking shoes/boots – avoid jeans and trainers.
Brunel Walking Group is for young(ish) people in the Bristol and Bath area who love the countryside and like to get outside on a weekend. All of our walk leaders and committee members are volunteers, dedicated to sharing our fantastic countryside with others. Read more on our FAQs page
