Start January with some adventurous inspiration at Guy Grieve’s Wilderness Lecture. An adventurer and entrepreneur, Guy’s talk will tell us the detail of his amazing journeys and the philosophy that motivates his incredible travels including the year that he spent living alone in a cabin that he built in the wilderness of the Interior of Alaska in 2004-05. His talk will focus on the importance of Wilderness to humanity. Is it possible to live and continue within a capitalist model whilst keeping wild places wild? For more info click here.
Advance tickets are £10 or pay £11 on the door. To get tickets in advance, you can buy them from Standfords on Corn Street or from their website. The lecture starts at 7:30 pm so we will meet from 7:00 pm in order that we can sit together. If buying on the door, check ticket availability beforehand and get there early, as some of these events sell out. It’s at the Chemistry Theatre, University of Bristol. Hope to see you there!
