8pm Brunel Plus monthly pub night

Event Date: Fri 20 July 2018
Event Time: 8pm

The July Brunel Plus monthly pub night coincides with the Bristol Harbour Festival so this month’s pub night will be at The Cottage.  This pub has a splendid setting overlooking the Cumberland Basin end of the harbour.  If the weather is good, we can sit outside on the terrace (please bring layers to pull on once the sun goes down) or there is room inside if it’s wet.

Meet from 8pm onwards.  All welcome, especially new faces.  If you’re new, please send a text so that we know to look out for you.

Baltic Wharf, Cumberland Road, BS1 6XG.

About Brunel Walking Group

Thanks for visiting us! Brunel Walking Group is for young(ish) people in the Bristol and Bath area who love the countryside and like to get outside on a weekend.

What is Brunel Walking Group?

Brunel is a thriving group with over 400 members and is part of The Ramblers charity. All of our walk leaders and committee members are volunteers, dedicated to sharing our fantastic countryside with others.  Read more on our FAQs page

How do I join the walk?

There is no need to sign up to join a walk, just turn up at the meeting point where we will share lifts to the start of the walk.  You’re very welcome to try out 1 or 2 walks before you join, but we do insist that after that you join the Brunel Walking Group.  It’s OK if you don’t drive – we normally have enough drivers who are able to give lifts, but drivers often appreciate it when a voluntary contribution is made by passengers towards their costs.

How do I know what to bring? And am I fit enough?

We provide a full recommended kit list here.  Please do bring water, a rainproof jacket, walking trousers (or similar) and walking shoes/boots – avoid jeans and trainers.

Walks are graded as either 1 boot, 2 boot or 3 boot.  Read more about choosing the right walk for your fitness level here,
