This walk starts in the village of Wellow and takes us East and then North of Wellow. We will walk through the hills and valleys around the north. We will then continue south of Wellow to visit Stoney Littleton Long Barrow, thought to be a 5,000-year-old burial ground. You can explore inside the barrow. A torch is recommended. We then return back up into the village.
We will be following mostly gravel paths and fields. It will be muddy in places. There are some small hills throughout and a short sharp hill to get to the barrow.
Bring a packed lunch. Pub to finish.
