6:45pm Outdoor Cinema – Back to the Future (Joint social)

Event Date: Fri 1 June 2018
Event Time: 6:45pm

Great Scott!  Brunel are going to Back to the Future!!

Join us in Millennium Square to watch an outdoor screening of the 1985 classic film featuring Michael J Fox as high school student Marty McFly who, with the aid of a time-travelling DeLorean, accidentally ends up back in the 1950s where he bumps into his teenage parents.

The film is shown on the giant screen on the side of We The Curious (previously known as @Bristol) and is free to attend.

Please bring a camping chair, any food and drink that you would like and wear plenty of warm layers.  Flux capacitors are optional.

Meet on the corner by Las Iguanas/the fountains at 6:45pm and we will attempt to get a good spot to watch the film.  The screening starts at 7pm.  After the film, we will probably end up in nearby bar if anyone wants to meet the group later.

About Brunel Walking Group

Thanks for visiting us! Brunel Walking Group is for young(ish) people in the Bristol and Bath area who love the countryside and like to get outside on a weekend.

What is Brunel Walking Group?

Brunel is a thriving group with more than 400 members. All of our walk leaders and committee members are volunteers, dedicated to sharing our fantastic countryside with others.  Read more on our FAQs page

How do I join the walk?

There is no need to sign up to join a walk, just turn up at the meeting point where we will share lifts to the start of the walk.  You’re very welcome to try out 1 or 2 walks before you join, but we do insist that after that you join the Brunel Walking Group.  It’s OK if you don’t drive – we normally have enough drivers who are able to give lifts, but drivers often appreciate it when a voluntary contribution is made by passengers towards their costs.

How do I know what to bring? And am I fit enough?

We provide a full recommended kit list here.  Please do bring water, a rainproof jacket, walking trousers (or similar) and walking shoes/boots – avoid jeans and trainers.

Walks are graded as either 1 boot, 2 boot or 3 boot.  Read more about choosing the right walk for your fitness level here,
