The Banff Mountain Film Festival features an exhilarating selection of short films that will take you to the most captivating places on earth.  Through the big screen, be transported to the world’s last great wild places, follow the expeditions of some of today’s most incredible adventurers, see amazing footage of adrenaline-packed action sports and be inspired by thought provoking pieces shot from the far flung corners of the globe.

The film festival is showing at the Victoria Rooms in Bristol from 5th to 7th April.  Join us on Saturday 7th April at the Victoria Rooms in time for the show at 7:30pm (the bar opens at 6:30pm).  Or meet us beforehand at Browns at the top of Park Street for something to eat and drink (6pm).
Please buy your own ticket online (it is likely to sell out so if you are interested, do buy it well in advance).  Tickets are £14 plus booking fee.

Thanks for visiting us! Brunel Walking Group is for young(ish) people in the Bristol and Bath area who love the countryside and like to get outside on a weekend.

What is Brunel Walking Group?

Brunel is a thriving group with more than 400 members. All of our walk leaders and committee members are volunteers, dedicated to sharing our fantastic countryside with others.  Read more on our FAQs page

How do I join the walk?

There is no need to sign up to join a walk, just turn up at the meeting point where we will share lifts to the start of the walk.  You’re very welcome to try out 1 or 2 walks before you join, but we do insist that after that you join the Brunel Walking Group.  It’s OK if you don’t drive – we normally have enough drivers who are able to give lifts, but drivers often appreciate it when a voluntary contribution is made by passengers towards their costs.

How do I know what to bring? And am I fit enough?

We provide a full recommended kit list here.  Please do bring water, a rainproof jacket, walking trousers (or similar) and walking shoes/boots – avoid jeans and trainers.
