The walk leaves Nailsworth in a generally easterly direction to Avening then turns south through Chavenage to Babdown Airfield where we will have lunch.  We will then continue over the A46 towards Lasborough where we head north to Horsley and eventually back to Nailsworth.  There is only one significant uphill stretch as we leave Nailsworth. 
There is free long stay car parking in Old Market opposite the Bus Station. Post Code GL6 ODU.  There are toilets at the Bus Station.
Bring a packed lunch.  Pub in Nailsworth afterwards.

How do I join the walk?

There is no need to sign up to join a walk, just turn up at the meeting point where we will share lifts to the start of the walk.  You’re very welcome to try out 1 or 2 walks before you join, but we do insist that after that you join the Brunel Walking Group.  It’s OK if you don’t drive – we normally have enough drivers who are able to give lifts, but drivers often appreciate it when a voluntary contribution is made by passengers towards their costs.

How do I know what to bring? And am I fit enough?

We provide a full recommended kit list here.  Please do bring water, a rainproof jacket, walking trousers (or similar) and walking shoes/boots – avoid jeans and trainers.

Walks are graded as either 1 boot, 2 boot or 3 boot.  Read more about choosing the right walk for your fitness level here,
