A walk within the North Wessex Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.  The walk starts with Morgan’s Hill, continues to Roundway Hill and Oliver’s Castle (iron age hill fort) returning to the start along a section of the Mid Wilts Way.

Meet at Aldi carpark, Bradley Stoke, at 9.15am

Alternatively, meet at the start of the walk – Smallgrain Picnic Area car park entrance – at 10.15am.  If you plan to meet here, please contact the leader in advance.

Thanks for visiting us! Brunel Walking Group is for young(ish) people in the Bristol and Bath area who love the countryside and like to get outside on a weekend.

What is Brunel Walking Group?

How do I join the walk?

There is no need to sign up to join a walk, just turn up at the meeting point where we will share lifts to the start of the walk.  You’re very welcome to try out 1 or 2 walks before you join, but we do insist that after that you join the Brunel Walking Group.  It’s OK if you don’t drive – we normally have enough drivers who are able to give lifts, but drivers often appreciate it when a voluntary contribution is made by passengers towards their costs.

How do I know what to bring? And am I fit enough?

We provide a full recommended kit list here.  Please do bring water, a rainproof jacket, walking trousers (or similar) and walking shoes/boots – avoid jeans and trainers.
