14:00 1+ Boot: Quick, before it melts! (Joint Walk)

Event Date: Sat 3 March 2018
Event Time: 14:00

6 miles/9.7km

**Please only attend if you can travel safely**

A meander through a snowy Ashton Court Estate and a little of Leigh Woods.

Boots which will support your ankles and gaiters/waterproof trousers are recommended.

This isn’t a really long walk, but will be harder work and slower in the snow.

The car park at the meeting point is small and may have few spaces – best to walk there, especially given the state of the roads. Don’t risk a long car journey…I’m sure there’s somewhere to enjoy the snow near you too!

Pub to finish.

Walk Leader: David C (07392 575 866)

Meet: 14:00 at Brunel Lock Car Park by the Nova Scotia pub

About Brunel Walking Group

Thanks for visiting us! Brunel Walking Group is for young(ish) people in the Bristol and Bath area who love the countryside and like to get outside on a weekend.

What is Brunel Walking Group?

Brunel is a thriving group with more than 400 members. All of our walk leaders and committee members are volunteers, dedicated to sharing our fantastic countryside with others.  Read more on our FAQs page

How do I join the walk?

There is no need to sign up to join a walk, just turn up at the meeting point where we will share lifts to the start of the walk.  You’re very welcome to try out 1 or 2 walks before you join, but we do insist that after that you join the Brunel Walking Group.  It’s OK if you don’t drive – we normally have enough drivers who are able to give lifts, but drivers often appreciate it when a voluntary contribution is made by passengers towards their costs.

How do I know what to bring? And am I fit enough?

We provide a full recommended kit list here.  Please do bring water, a rainproof jacket, walking trousers (or similar) and walking shoes/boots – avoid jeans and trainers.

Walks are graded as either 1 boot, 2 boot or 3 boot.  Read more about choosing the right walk for your fitness level here,
