A scenic walk taking the quiet Gambril Lane with views to Eastwood Park, then through the Tortworth Estate and Arboretum and along the pretty wooded valley of the Little Avon River. We will stop for tea and cake at Tortworth Church, where the Tortworth Chestnut can be seen, before the final hour or so passing the Grade II Heneage Court and lake. Field, bridle-way, woodland and lane walking, with a couple of climbs. For safety reasons, please park as far along the layby as possible. If arriving southbound, park in southbound layby opposite.
Bring a packed lunch.
