1:30pm 1 Boot: Gromit Trail Walk & Harbour Festival (Joint Walk / Social)

This is a linear walk from the Water Tower on the Downs to the harbourside.  We should hopefully see about 27 of the “Gromit Unleashed 2” sculptures.  We wlll walk across the Downs, up into Clifton to The Triangle, through Brandon Park, across the Suspension Bridge into Ashton Court, finishing at the harbour.

Any footwear suitable.  We will stop at the sculptures and for a snack.  Please have lunch before you arrive.  Bring water/drink/snacks.  There will be plenty of food and drink available at the Harbour Festival at the end.

Gromit Unleashed 2 app is available and the proceeds go to charity.

What is Brunel Walking Group?

How do I join the walk?

There is no need to sign up to join a walk, just turn up at the meeting point where we will share lifts to the start of the walk.  You’re very welcome to try out 1 or 2 walks before you join, but we do insist that after that you join the Brunel Walking Group.  It’s OK if you don’t drive – we normally have enough drivers who are able to give lifts, but drivers often appreciate it when a voluntary contribution is made by passengers towards their costs.

How do I know what to bring? And am I fit enough?

We provide a full recommended kit list here.  Please do bring water, a rainproof jacket, walking trousers (or similar) and walking shoes/boots – avoid jeans and trainers.
