Beautiful river walk along the Wye and through the Forest of Dean. This walk will be in the region of 9 miles with one steepish ascent (740 feet) and taking in Offas Dyke and Wye Valley gorge walk. Amazing opportunity to explore this area but at a leisurely pace.

Walk may be muddy with recent rain so bring good walking boots, water and pack lunch.

Pub to finish.

How do I join the walk?

There is no need to sign up to join a walk, just turn up at the meeting point where we will share lifts to the start of the walk.  You’re very welcome to try out 1 or 2 walks before you join, but we do insist that after that you join the Brunel Walking Group.  It’s OK if you don’t drive – we normally have enough drivers who are able to give lifts, but drivers often appreciate it when a voluntary contribution is made by passengers towards their costs.

How do I know what to bring? And am I fit enough?

We provide a full recommended kit list here.  Please do bring water, a rainproof jacket, walking trousers (or similar) and walking shoes/boots – avoid jeans and trainers.
