New Members Walk, all welcome. A flatwalk on the Severn Plain featuring trade routes past and present and quiet, scenic farmland. We start by exploring the boats’ graveyard known as the Purton Hulks, continuing along the Gloucester & Sharpness Canal to the ruined tower of the Severn Railway Bridge and to Sharpness Marina and Docks, stopping for lunch at the riverside picnic site. We continue south along the River Severn briefly before turning inland, returning along lanes, through farmland and over low hills with views across the Severn, hopefully finishing at the church for tea. Suitable for most potential new members.

Bring packed lunch, tea shop to finish
