Walking through fields with some walking on quiet lanes. The only ascent will be to the knoll that provides the location for St Arilda’s Church in Oldbury. Views over the Severn from the church and walking alongside the estuary. A drinks and snack break at the church half way round.

Pub to finish. White Hart in Littleton upon Severn – dog friendly.

Meet: 1pm at The Water Tower, Clifton to self organise car shares and lifts.

Thanks for visiting us! Brunel Walking Group is for young(ish) people in the Bristol and Bath area who love the countryside and like to get outside on a weekend.

What is Brunel Walking Group?

How do I join the walk?

There is no need to sign up to join a walk, just turn up at the meeting point where we will share lifts to the start of the walk.  You’re very welcome to try out 1 or 2 walks before you join, but we do insist that after that you join the Brunel Walking Group.  It’s OK if you don’t drive – we normally have enough drivers who are able to give lifts, but drivers often appreciate it when a voluntary contribution is made by passengers towards their costs.

How do I know what to bring? And am I fit enough?

We provide a full recommended kit list here.  Please do bring water, a rainproof jacket, walking trousers (or similar) and walking shoes/boots – avoid jeans and trainers.
