09:00 2 Boot: Tyley Bottom and Ozleworth Bottom (20s & 30s)

Event Date: Sun 15 October 2017
Event Time: 09:00

12 miles

This is a hilly walk in the Cotswolds that takes us through some of the valleys around Wotton-under-Edge. We start by making our way down Tyley Bottom before climbing steeply out to make our way to Ozleworth Bottom which is particularly secluded and tranquil. After climbing out the valley we will pass by Ozleworth church, which has an almost unique hexagonal tower, before making our way back to Wotton-under-Edge. Weather permitting, we will be granted some quintessentially Cotswold views throughout the walk.

Bring a packed lunch. Pub to finish.

Walk Leader: Jenny N (07933041775)

Meet: 09:00 at St. Mary Redcliffe

Alternatively meet at 09:30 at The Chipping Long Stay Car Park, Symn Lane, Wotton-under-Edge, GL12 7AD
Please contact the walk leader if you will be meeting them there.

About Brunel Walking Group

Thanks for visiting us! Brunel Walking Group is for young(ish) people in the Bristol and Bath area who love the countryside and like to get outside on a weekend.

What is Brunel Walking Group?

Brunel is a thriving group with more than 400 members. All of our walk leaders and committee members are volunteers, dedicated to sharing our fantastic countryside with others.  Read more on our FAQs page

How do I join the walk?

There is no need to sign up to join a walk, just turn up at the meeting point where we will share lifts to the start of the walk.  You’re very welcome to try out 1 or 2 walks before you join, but we do insist that after that you join the Brunel Walking Group.  It’s OK if you don’t drive – we normally have enough drivers who are able to give lifts, but drivers often appreciate it when a voluntary contribution is made by passengers towards their costs.

How do I know what to bring? And am I fit enough?

We provide a full recommended kit list here.  Please do bring water, a rainproof jacket, walking trousers (or similar) and walking shoes/boots – avoid jeans and trainers.

Walks are graded as either 1 boot, 2 boot or 3 boot.  Read more about choosing the right walk for your fitness level here,
