A very pleasant and varied outing in largely virgin territory.  Expect untouched rurual settings amidst gentle, rolling hills, with just a few small villages and isolated cottages.  The walk connects up some fascinating places and features, such as Mynd Park, an enormous country home and lake, and the wonderful Kilpeck church with its incredibly well-preserved corbels, windows and entrance, plus the ruins of the castle there and a “Grand Designs” home.

There will be a lunchtime stop close to a pub.

Bring a packed lunch.

What is Brunel Walking Group?

How do I join the walk?

There is no need to sign up to join a walk, just turn up at the meeting point where we will share lifts to the start of the walk.  You’re very welcome to try out 1 or 2 walks before you join, but we do insist that after that you join the Brunel Walking Group.  It’s OK if you don’t drive – we normally have enough drivers who are able to give lifts, but drivers often appreciate it when a voluntary contribution is made by passengers towards their costs.

How do I know what to bring? And am I fit enough?

We provide a full recommended kit list here.  Please do bring water, a rainproof jacket, walking trousers (or similar) and walking shoes/boots – avoid jeans and trainers.
